4-803.12 FC: (A) Except as specified in Paragraph (B) of this section, linens shall be mechanically washed. (B) In food establishments in which only wiping cloths are laundered as specified in Paragraph 4-301.15(B), the wiping cloths may be laundered in a mechanical washer, sink designated only for laundering wiping cloths, or a warewashing or food preparation sink that is cleaned as specified under Section 4-501.14. 4-803.13 FC: (A) Except as specified in Paragraph (B) of this section, laundry facilities on the premises of a food establishment shall be used only for the washing and drying of items used in the operation of the establishment. (B) Separate laundry facilities located on the premises for the purpose of general laundering such as for institutions providing boarding and lodging may also be used for laundering food establishment items. 4-401.11(C) FC: (C) If a mechanical clothes washer or dryer is provided, it shall be located so that the washer or dryer is protected from contamination and only where there is no exposed food; clean equipment, utensils, and linens; and unwrapped single-service and single-use articles. 3-304.14 (E) FC: (E) Containers of chemical sanitizing solutions specified in Subparagraph (B)(1) of this section in which wet wiping cloths are held between uses shall be stored off the floor and used in a manner that prevents contamination of food, equipment, utensils, linens, single-service, or single-use articles. according to label instructions. 3-304.14(B)(1) FC and 4-501.114 (E) FC: (B) Cloths in-use for wiping counters and other equipment surfaces shall be: (1) Held between uses in a chemical sanitizer solution at a concentration specified under Section 4-501.114; 4-501.114 (E) A chemical sanitizer used in a sanitizing solution for a manual or mechanical operation at contact times specified under Paragraph 4-703.11(C) shall meet the criteria specified under Section 7-204.11 Sanitizers, Criteria, shall be used in accordance with the EPA-registered label use instructions, and shall be used as follows: (E) If a chemical sanitizer other than chlorine, iodine or a quaternary ammonia compound is used, it shall be applied in accordance with the EPA-registered label use instructions; 22 Food-contact surfaces clean and sanitized
