A personal cell phone was stored on top of the wood prep table another was stored on top of the bagel former. Inspection Details:

  • 12B-07-4:Basic - Employee beverage container on a food preparation table or over/next to clean equipment/utensils. Personal drinks stored improperly in multiple areas in the back prep area and on the cook line.
  • 41-07-4:High Priority - Container of medicine improperly stored. Containers of medicines were improperly stored with food in multiple locations, at the coffee station, next to cheese being prepped and on dry storage shelving next to and above food.
  • 12A-07-5:High Priority - Employee failed to wash hands before putting on gloves to initiate a task working with food. Female food handlers entered the back prep area from the walk in cooler and donned gloves with no hand wash and began prepping American Cheese.
  • 08A-05-6:High Priority - Raw animal food stored over/not properly separated from ready-to-eat food. Cases of raw shell eggs were stored directly above cartons of half and half and cooked sausage patties.

Spray bottle of Clorox was stored next to jugs of liquid butter and clean equipment on a shelf under a prep table in the back prep area. Sterno and hand soap were stored above single-service items in the hallway next to the office. Discussed with Operator the need to keep chemicals separate and/or below food packaging.
